HUA HIN (Thailand): Myanmar has finally agreed to cooperate with the Asean secretariat for data and information collection as the first step to resolving the Rohingya refugee problem plaguing several Asean members.
Asean Foreign Ministers who met here yesterday, just before the region’s leaders started their summit, “convinced” Myanmar to treat the issue with urgency as the Rohingyas were becoming the region’s problem and needed attention.
