KUALA LUMPUR: While human rights in Malaysia has shown some improvement from five years ago, there are still concerns to be addressed 51 years after independence, says Comango, a coalition of 56 non-governmental organisations (NGOs).
In a 10-page report to the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights in Geneva, Comango said there was still politicisation of race and religion, racial discrimination, violation of freedom of religion, denial of sexual rights, and a more sophisticated method used to stop freedom of assembly.
