IT was just two years between the 2001 US attack on Afghanistan and the 2003 US attack on Iraq. A US attack on another country is now overdue, with Iran the likely candidate, as Washington gives every indication it could be so.
It does not really matter that Iran, like Iraq and Afghanistan before, posed no threat to the United States or that fighting in Afghanistan, like in Iraq, is still far from settled. What matters is that Iran today, like Iraq before, is a challenge to Israeli regional domination and US global pride.
