PETALING JAYA: The Meteorological Services Department office has turned into a hive of activity because of the high number of aftershocks recorded in the region around Sumatra over the last two weeks.
With six more minor aftershocks recorded as of 6pm yesterday, the department has now recorded a total of 192 aftershocks since the earthquake, measuring 8.7 on the Richter scale, killed more than 600 people on Nias island on March 28.
