MIRI: The number of dengue fever cases in Sarawak's oil capital has dropped considerably with strict enforcement and implementation of innovative methods, including the mandatory use of polystyrene beads in septic tanks.

While the fever has claimed 24 lives in the peninsula over the past few months, no one has died of this disease in the past few years in Miri, once a dengue-prone area.
