Perak royal’s arrest order revoked after counsel’s explaination

TELUK INTAN: Raja Kecil Besar Perak Raja Izzuddin Iskandar Shah, who is charged with abetment in a cheating case, was issued a warrant of arrest when he did not turn up in court due to a miscommunication.

The order was, however, revoked when defence counsel S. Selvam explained to Sessions judge Abu Bakar Katar that both he and his client had been absent from court because the dates of the hearing they had recorded were different from the prosecution’s.
