Petition to nullify Ranau election results struck out

KOTA KINABALU: The Election Court has struck out a petition seeking to nullify the Ranau parliamentary seat win by Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Tan Sri Bernard Dompok in the March 21 polls. 

In striking out the petition, which was the second in Sabah, Justice Clement Skinner said defeated independent candidate Ruhimin Adzim @ Ruhimin Ajim failed to comply with rule 15(1) of the Election Petition Rules by serving the petition after the 15-day deadline.
