Cops put stop to ‘bold’ venture

KUALA LUMPUR: They don’t just rob and run away – instead, a group of 7-Eleven robbers would pretend to run the place and sometimes put a knife to the throats of unsuspecting customers, robbing them of their valuables. 

Once, their acting was so good that two policemen on their crime-prevention rounds signed a record book placed outside the convenience store, convinced that everything was running smoothly in the wee hours of the morning.
