Abdul Hamid: Al-Arqam changed name

FOLLOWERS of the banned Al-Arqam movement are alleged to have adopted a new name – Jemaah Aurad Muhammadiah – to make a comeback. 

Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Abdul Hamid Zainal Abidin was quoted as saying in Berita Harian that denials by the new movement of any links with Al-Arqam was a ploy to avoid suspicion and enforcement.
