Girl, 6, leaves home with baby brother while uncle sleeps

An adventurous six-year-old girl decided to bring along her six-month-old baby brother for a walk in the neighbourhood when she left home without the company of an adult in Senai, Johor, on Tuesday. It was reported that the siblings were found 1km away from the house by members of the public, who were alarmed to see the unattended children roaming by the roadside. They were brought to the nearest police station and the case was handed over to the Welfare Department (JKM). It is understood that the parents, who were away at work, had left the children at home with an uncle, who was sleeping when the children went out through the back door at 10am. Besides carrying her brother, the girl also brought along a milk bottle and towel. Kulai JKM officer Mohd Iskandar Abu Bakar said the children were safely returned to the parents.
