KAJANG: Students who score 10 As or more in the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination will continue to receive offers to enrol in the matriculation programme, says Deputy Education Minister Wong Kah Woh.

He said the policy has been in place for the past two years.

However, Wong clarified that not all students classified under the “straight As” category would automatically meet the 10A benchmark required for the matriculation offer.

He noted that the SPM 2025 cohort recorded 13,779 straight A scorers (grades A+, A and A-).

“Among those who achieved straight A’s, there are students who took eight, nine, 10, 11 or even 12 subjects,” he said during a press conference at SMJK Yu Hua on Tuesday (March 31).

Wong added that the ministry has yet to compile the exact number of students who scored 10 As or more in SPM 2025.
