> Malaysians can now apply for the Chevening Scholarship to pursue their postgraduate studies in the United Kingdom for the 2024/25 academic year.
> The Chevening award, which celebrates its 40th anniversary this year, is the UK government’s global scholarship programme that is funded and administered by its Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office.
> This is complemented by sponsorships from Malaysian corporate partners, namely, CIMB Foundation, Yayasan Khazanah and the Jeffrey Cheah Foundation. British universities provide additional funding in support of the Chevening programme.
> Malaysia is the second largest recipient of Chevening awards in Asean, with over 1,800 of its more than 50,000 alumni members in Malaysia.
