TROPICANA Corporation Bhd (Tropicana) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Raffles Iskandar Sdn Bhd, providing its Johor homebuyers up to 20% of one-year school fee rebates at Raffles University and 5% at Raffles American School.

The partnership with the education provider will provide more value not only to local homebuyers, but also international homeowners wanting to uproot their families to Malaysia, the property developer said in a press release on April 7.

Tropicana marketing and sales managing director Joanne Lee said the collaborative endeavour with Raffles was a milestone in the development of Tropicana townships in the country’s southern region.

“We aim to redefine the art of living by providing wholesome environments for our future generations in all our townships across Malaysia.

“We are inspired by Raffles, our education partner, for instilling creativity and knowledge in its students. We hope to continue to raise the bar on education and learning, in every way we can.

“Together, we will redefine the way we work, play, live and learn.”

Raffles University Malaysia marketing admissions and communications director Greg Pritchard said the intention at Raffles is to support the growth of its students by meeting demands for quality education programmes.

“Our accredited school programmes have been developed for students of all ages from early childhood to postgraduate, in fields ranging from design and business to artificial intelligence and robotics.

“We’re future-proofing our students with the best practices in teaching and learning. Through our collaboration with Tropicana, we’re poised to offer cutting-edge innovation in education, ” he said.

Tropicana has partnered with international schools and education providers such as Tenby, GEMS, and St Joseph’s Institution, with educational facilities in Tropicana Aman (Kota Kemuning), Tropicana Metropark (Subang Jaya), and Tropicana Indah (Kota Damansara).

Tropicana’s latest MoU with Raffles signifies a cross-collaboration via education for its southern developments such as Tropicana Danga Bay and Tropicana Danga Cove in Iskandar Malaysia, and Tropicana Uplands in Gelang Patah, Johor.
