Varsity gets new deputy VC

THE Higher Education Ministry has appointed Prof Dr Mohd Fauzi Ramlan, 49, as deputy vice-chancellor (Student Affairs and Alumni) of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) for a three-year term which ends in May, 2013.

Prof Mohd Fauzi has been with UPM since April 29, 1986. He has served as Second Residential College principal and as associate professor at the Agriculture Science Department and in various other capacities.
