Bring back PTS exam

I READ with interest your article entitled “Meeting the needs of gifted children”(StarEducation, April 1).  

The article talked about the PTS (Penilaian Tahap Satu), which was later abolished due to evidence that students from these “express classes” did not perform well in the Ujian Pencapaian Sekolah Rendah examinations.
