THEY came from a remote area best known for its Sarawakian pineapples, but that proved to be no obstacle for the three secondary school students from Sarikei who bagged the top spot in the recent PNB Investment Quiz (secondary school category).
The three students – Liong Siok Fuang, Eric Ak Egong and Eric Husly Hului of SMK St Anthony, Sarikei – took home the grand prize of RM8,000 and a trophy after beating three schools, SMK Agama Wataniah, Besut; SMK Hwa Lian, Temerloh; and SMK Chung Ling, Penang, in the finals held in Putrajaya recently.
