KUALA LUMPUR: Deputy Dewan Rakyat speaker Nga Kor Ming will return to Bukit Aman on Thursday (Oct 24) for another round of questioning in connection with a Facebook page that allegedly insulted Selangor Ruler Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah.
Bukit Aman CID director Comm Datuk Huzir Mohamed said police had previously recorded his statement on Oct 8.
"He will return tomorrow for us to record his statement. We still have a few steps to complete before we can forward the investigation paper to the Attorney General's Chambers," he told a press conference at Bukit Aman on Wednesday (Oct 23).
A police report was lodged on the “Nga Kor Ming Super Fans Page, which allegedly insulted the Selangor ruler earlier in the month.
It was reported that the Perak DAP chief had said the Facebook page was not linked to him nor DAP but was masquerading as such.
In a statement, he said that there were at least two "mirror pages" called "Nga Kor Ming Super Fans Page" and their content showed they had existed since November 2018 and August this year.
Nga said allegation by former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak that the page was linked to him was baseless, adding it was a dirty political tactic against him.
A police report was also lodged against Najib by Nga's senior private secretary.
Nga had alleged that Najib had defamed him.
Meanwhile, on the police report lodged by Nga's senior private secretary, Comm Huzir said police will call up two individuals, believed to be administrators for Najib's Facebook page.
"So far we have recorded the statements of Najib, Nga and the one who lodged the report.
"We will call up the two administrators soon," he said.
