Raindrops in the desert


The carpark at a medical centre in Doha is flooded with rainwater. The situation was a little different this year although it is not uncommon to hear of floods during rain in Qatar.

EARLIER this month, Doha residents were looking forward to the much-anticipated November rain after an especially hot, humid and long summer.

The daily routine of my friends and acquaintances was to check the weather reports to see if a rain shower was due.
