AUTHORITIES have ordered a second batch of residents from Bandar Damai Perdana Flats in Cheras to vacate their units following a landslip near their block on Sept 22.
Balakong assemblyman Ong Chun Wei confirmed that residents from a second batch of approximately 120 individuals from 45 units in Block D were told to evacuate.
The slope behind Block D eroded on Sept 22, believed to be due to an underground water leak, and 85 residents from Block D were told to evacuate immediately.
Tarpaulin sheets have since been placed over the eroded slopes.
Ong, who visited the site on Wednesday (Sept 23), said Block D is close to the affected slope.
"Authorities will continue to monitor Blocks A, B and C," he said.
Personnel from the Civil Defence Force, police, Selangor Fire and Rescue Department and Air Selangor were on standby at the site.
Ong said two adults and two children were moved to a temporary shelter Desa Baiduri Community Hall.
At 2.45pm, authorities said no movement of soil or water had been detected on Wednesday.
The four blocks of flats were built in 2001.
