KAJANG Municipal Council (MPKj) anticipates improved service delivery with the establishment of Kajang Smart City Command Centre (KS2C), says MPKj president Nazli Md Talib.
He said MPKj would be able to make decisions faster and strengthen coordination between departments and relevant agencies through the use of technology, data and innovation.
The KS2C started operations in January after completing its development, testing, systems integration and operational training phases, he said.
“It serves as an integrated platform that consolidates multiple systems and real-time data, allowing comprehensive and continuous monitoring of the municipality.
“The command centre enables faster, more accurate and effective monitoring of public safety, traffic, cleanliness, infrastructure, disaster management and overall urban operations.
“The data-driven approach will also accelerate decision-making while improving coordination between MPKj and related departments and agencies through real-time data sharing,” he said at the launch in Menara MPKj.
Also present was Selangor state secretary Datuk Dr Ahmad Fadzli Ahmad Tajuddin.
Nazli said the establishment of KS2C was one of the key initiatives under the Smart Kajang 2030 Action Plan, which outlined MPKj’s smart city development agenda that was in line with the state’s aspirations and the government’s public sector digitalisation policy.
“I am confident that KS2C will continue to serve as a catalyst for strengthening Kajang’s smart city ecosystem while enhancing strategic collaboration between MPKj, relevant government agencies and other strategic partners to improve the well-being of the people and the quality of public service delivery,” he added.
Nazli said MPKj was committed to expanding the use of technology, innovation and digitalisation in urban management.
“We hope KS2C will drive more efficient, responsive and people- centric public services, in line with our aspiration of making Kajang a progressive, competitive, sustainable and liveable smart city,” he said.
