A colour‑filled night lit up Malam Citra Warna Kuala Perlis 2026 with vibrant hues, illuminated floats and traditional attire, transforming Dataran Lok 9 in Kuala Perlis into a glowing celebration of culture and heritage.
Massive brightly-lit floats and more than 200 detailed vehicles, including lorries, vintage vans and retro motorcycles, rolled through the festival grounds, while participants in full traditional dress took part in the Himpunan Melayu Berbusana gathering.
The whole area was bathed in light. Decorative street lamps, vendor stalls from the youth entrepreneur bazaar, and stage lighting for cultural performances and traditional dances all combined to create a lively, immersive atmosphere.
Entertainment leaned heavily into heritage, with traditional dance showcases alongside high‑energy events such as international tug‑of‑war, Muay Thai, arm‑wrestling and modern additions to e‑sports tournaments.
The night ended with a spectacular fireworks display over the waterfront, lighting up the sky and reflecting across the sea at the waterfront venue.
The festival was also held in conjunction with the 83rd birthday celebration of Raja of Perlis Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Jamalullail.
