IN the Terengganu dialect, “musing ketang” means to stroll, wander or walk back and forth.
At Kampung Budaya Terengganu, that simple phrase became an invitation to slow down and explore the state’s traditional crafts, games and performances.
This exploration came alive through the Musing Ketang 2026 festival held at the Terengganu State Museum complex in Bukit Losong, Kuala Terengganu.
During the three-day event, visitors could move from one traditional timber house to another – watch rattan being woven and gasing being spun in the courtyard.
The festival also featured batik, brassware, traditional boat replicas, gamelan, wayang kulit, food stalls and activities for children, including colouring contests and traditional games.
The festival turned heritage into something visitors could touch, try and understand, Bernama reported.
For families, tourists and students, Musing Ketang 2026 is a reminder that Terengganu’s culture is not only kept in museums, but also carried through the hands, stories and skills of its people.
