THOUSANDS of people flocked to the National Youth Day Festival 2026 of the Federal Territories (Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya) which featured a vibrant showcase of cultural heritage, sports and youth empowerment initiatives.
Held at the Piazza at Pavilion Bukit Jalil, the three-day festival packed in over 70 programmes tailored specifically for young people, including a silat championship, career carnival, traditional sports and exhibitions by various government agencies.
The event also featured the presentation of certificates and cash prizes to the latest recipients of the National Youth Awards.

Federal Territory Kuala Lumpur Youth and Sports Department director Sabran Abd Bahar said the festival served a dual purpose for national development.
“This event is more than a platform for entertainment and recreation,” he said.
“It is also a space for youths to obtain valuable information on careers, education, entrepreneurship and personal development.”
Present at the launch were Federal Territories Department director-general Datuk Muhammad Azmi Mohd Zain, Seputeh MP Teresa Kok, Federal Territories Youth Council president Khairul Rizam Abu Samah and Pavilion Kuala Lumpur marketing director Kung Suan Ai.
