Madani vital amid crisis, says Amirudin

THE “Malaysia Madani” framework has become increasingly relevant as Malaysia faces new challenges, including a global energy crisis of a different nature.

Selangor Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari said that unlike the Covid-19 pandemic, which disrupted demand, the current situation was driven more by supply constraints affecting markets.

He said the Madani framework emphasised unity, stability, constitutional principles and national sovereignty as key pillars of progress, reported Bernama.

“All these require a collective effort to tackle the crisis that may affect people’s livelihoods and the nation’s sustainability now and in the future.

“This is precisely why we must safeguard unity and stability, as they will determine our success in navigating the crisis,” he said at the Selangor-level “Jelajah Taat Setia Madani” programme held in Section 7, Shah Alam.
