Harvey Norman, an international household goods retailer, has launched a new collection of furniture, using the work of Malaysian contemporary artist Najib Ahmad Bamadhaj in the design.

Known as the Lakaran Malaysia furniture collection, it is a foliage and butterfly themed catalogue that includes sofas, stools, armchairs, daybeds and cabinets.

The furniture collection is a collaboration with Toko Art Gallery. The artwork featured on the upholstery is from Najib Ahmad’s The Promised Garden (TPG) series, which was showcased in a sold out solo exhibition at G13 Gallery in late 2025.

To mark the launch of its artistic furniture collection, Harvey Norman will give out a complimentary pair of TPG cushions with the purchase of any Lakaran Malaysia sofa. This offer is valid till January 31.

Customers will also stand a chance to win a neck massage pillow by taking part in a social media contest.

To enter, snap a selfie with the Lakaran Malaysia furniture collection in Harvey Norman’s flagship store at Mid Valley Megamall. Then post on Facebook or Instagram. Customers must ensure their profiles are public and tag their friends with the hashtags #HarveyNormanMY and #LakaranMalaysia. Contest period is until Jan 31.

The collection is only available for a limited time at selected Harvey Norman stores at Mid Valley Megamall, IPC Shopping Centre, CITTA Mall, Pavilion Bukit Jalil, KL East Mall, Gurney Plaza, Mid Valley Southkey and Vivacity Megamall.
