A LONG-TERM strategic partnership has been inked for the next wave of digital innovations in Malaysia’s high-value meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions (MICE) sector.

One of Malaysia’s premier providers of event, exhibition, business and conference services, Qube Integrated Malaysia Sdn Bhd, signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Inspur Cloud, a global leader in advanced computing, artificial intelligence (AI) technologies and digital transformation solutions.

By leveraging Inspur Cloud’s cutting-edge technological capabilities, Qube aimed to redefine how large-scale national and international events are planned, managed and delivered.

It could also help advance the country’s reputation as a technologically progressive, business-friendly destination ahead of Visit Malaysia 2026, Qube said in a press statement.

The initiative aligned with Malaysia’s national digitalisation agenda and strategy to enhance business tourism, it added.

The collaboration between Qube and Inspur Cloud is expected to focus on developing a robust Smart MICE Ecosystem.

Strategic areas of cooperation include venue digitalisation to optimise operational efficiency, enhancing energy management and improving real-time crowd flow analytics.

Qube said data-enabled event experiences would also help organisers with predictive insights into attendee behaviour and engagement metrics.

Meanwhile, digital adoption could help identify new opportunities within the digital industry ecosystem while collaborating on proposals for high-value national projects, it said.

The technological adoption was a proactive step to enhancing Qube’s delivery of data-enabled, future-ready event experiences, strengthening its competitive position as Malaysia’s most innovative event and exhibition solutions provider, it said.

“Inspur Cloud, in turn, will leverage Qube’s extensive nationwide network and industry presence to accelerate awareness and adoption of its digital solutions in key Malaysian markets.”

Qube executive chairman Richard Teo highlighted the strategic importance of the MOU, signed during a ceremony in Kuala Lumpur.

“By integrating smart technologies into our national venues, providing predictive insights for our organising partners and accelerating digital adoption across the ecosystem, we are set to redefine how Malaysia plans, manages and delivers large-scale events.

“Together with Inspur Cloud, we are strengthening Malaysia’s position as a regional leader in business events and digital innovation,” he added.

Inspur Cloud’s overseas business department deputy general manager Jerry Zhao said, “This collaboration reflects Inspur Cloud’s commitment to building strong local partnerships that drive meaningful progress.

“We aim to advance Malaysia’s MICE industry by creating more efficient, personalised and impactful experiences for all stakeholders.”
