Selangor government has registered 22 participants for its inaugural programme called Selangor Care Accelerator (XCare) 2025.

State women empowerment and welfare committee chairman Anfaal Saari said the participants came from all over Selangor and were in related businesses such as care centres, care technology and innovation, and care products.

XCare, she said, involved an intensive programme covering seven modules related to business development, as well as pitching clinics.

“The lessons are focused on developing businesses in the care sector,” Anfaal said at the launch of the programme in Shah Alam.

“Participants will have the opportunity to participate in industry visits as well as join networking events with industry players.”

The highlight of the programme is a pitching competition for a chance to go on an industry visit overseas.

XCare 2025 is carried out in collaboration with Selcare, Wanita Berdaya Selangor, Selangor Public Library Corporation and Selangor Information Technology and Digital Economy Corporation.

Anfaal added that the programme hoped to achieve the aims of upholding the dignity of caregivers and protecting those they care for, particularly vulnerable groups such as children and senior citizens.
