THIS Ramadan, OCBC Al-Amin Bank has once again partnered with Masjid Jamek, Kuala Lumpur, for its annual bubur lambuk programme.

Beyond the usual distribution at the mosque, the programme venue has expanded to include the entrance of Menara OCBC at Jalan Tun Perak.

Since its inception in 2008, OCBC Al-Amin, the Islamic subsidiary of OCBC Bank (M), has collaborated with Masjid Jamek to mark Ramadan with the symbolic gesture of offering bubur lambuk to their neighbours and the community at large.

OCBC Al-Amin chief executive officer Syed Abdull Aziz Syed Kechik said people from all walks of life have enjoyed the opportunity to share in the spirit of the fasting month.

“I am pleased that my colleagues and I were able to include another area for our bubur lambuk distribution exercise – at the entrance of Menara OCBC – so more people could congregate at a public area in the spirit of togetherness,” he said.

“We are grateful to Masjid Jamek for partnering with us yet again.

“We hope everyone has a meaningful Ramadan this year as we look forward to Syawal,” said Syed Abdull Aziz.
