FORTY-FIVE families from Kampung Sungai Penchala in Segambut, Kuala Lumpur, will celebrate Hari Raya with new outfits, thanks to a charity initiative by Yayasan Prihatin Nasional.

Recipients gathered at SK Sungai Penchala to receive their new garments, presented by Youth and Sports Minister Hannah Yeoh.

The families also received Ramadan baskets and healthcare equipment, including glucometers, blood pressure monitors and wheelchairs during the event.

Yeoh, who is also Segambut MP, expressed hope that the aid would ease residents’ burden during the Ramadan month.

This marks the third aid initiative carried out in collaboration with Yayasan Prihatin Nasional, following past efforts that provided school supplies to children.

Yeoh also announced that 10 registered mosques in Segambut received RM5,000 each, while 42 surau were allocated RM2,000 each.
