Nostalgic flavours on iftar menu of Setia Alam hotel

This Ramadan, get a taste of Citarasa Iftar Sajian Nostalgia Abadi dinner buffet in Shah Alam, Selangor.

A culinary journey through time, this dining experience at Courtyard by Marriott Setia Alam celebrates the rich flavours and traditions of Ramadan.

At the heart of this iftar buffet served at 5 Wells restaurant are tantalising traditional Malay dishes.

Diners can begin their feast with a variety of appetisers and local salads such as Kerabu Kampung and Pecal Kangkong.

Adding to these are assorted ulam-ulaman (local herbs) paired with Sambal Cabe Ijo, Sambal Matah and Sambal Rawit.

Recreating a Ramadan Bazaar vibe, the buffet has live cooking stations serving up favourites like chicken and beef satay, and Ikan Cencaru Sumbat Bakar.

The Raya traditional dishes include Lemang Pulut & Lemang Jagung served with Serunding Ayam & Daging.

Indulge in a variety of slow-cooked rendang dishes such as Rendang Lidah and Rendang Kerang.

The buffet extends beyond Malay cuisine, featuring delectable Chinese, Western and Indonesian selections.

These include Butter Popcorn Chicken with Curry Leaf and Bird’s Eye Chilli, and Seared Fish with Chive Cream Sauce.

For desserts, guests will get to indulge in traditional sweets such as Kek Lapis Sarawak, Tapai Ubi and Dodol.

The Citarasa Iftar Sajian Nostalgia Abadi dinner buffet is being served until March 30.

It is priced at RM159nett per adult while children (aged 6 to 12) and senior citizens enjoy 50% off the buffet price.
