New council to monitor needs of Penang folk

A COUNCIL comprising some 16 members from various government agencies will be formed to look into the interests of Penang residents from various aspects.

Penang social development, welfare and non-Islamic religious affairs committee chairman Lim Siew Khim said the council would be known as “Manfaat Rakyat”.
