ALLIANZ Malaysia Bhd has merged its general and life insurance branches under a one-stop centre.
Its chief executive officer Sean Wang said all 30 Allianz General Insurance Company (M) Bhd and Allianz Life Insurance Malaysia Bhd branches nationwide are now known as One Allianz centres.
Wang said their aim was to streamline customer service by offering both life and general insurance under one roof, providing customers with more flexibility in choosing their insurance solutions.
“This transformation is to enhance the customer experience.
“Customers can now navigate between their life and general insurance policies at any of these branches nationwide,” he said during the launch of the One Allianz centre in Greentown, Ipoh, Perak.
“Our customers can walk into any of our branches across the country or contact our centres to inquire about our products.
“We have always been able to rely on two very strong business arms, Allianz General Insurance and Allianz Life Insurance and over time, we saw a stronger need to work even closer to synergise and come together as One Allianz.

“Operating together as One Allianz will instil the confidence in customers for providing the best quality and services offered,” he added.
Wang said the transformation journey began in 2022, with the Melaka branch being the first to undergo the change to become a One Allianz centre.
“This was followed by other branches in Johor Baru, Kota Kinabalu, and lastly Ipoh, in May this year,” he said.
Wang said as of July 2024, about 595,000 customers have bought life insurance from them, while about three million people have bought the general insurance.
“We are aiming for one million customers in the next five years.
“We aim to be the number one insurer in Malaysia, offering best services to our customers and to have a policy holder in every home.”
Wang added that both the Allianz General Insurance and Allianz Life Insurance were rated as the top five in the Customer Satisfaction Index in the Malaysian Insurance and the Takaful Customer Satisfaction Survey.
“Both of these recognisations will motivate us to do better and customers must always remain our topmost priority,” he said.
