Jalan Pintasan Segambut hit by flash flood after downpour

A FLASH flood occurred on Jalan Pintasan Segambut in Segambut, Kuala Lumpur, after the heavy rain on Friday (Aug 23) afternoon.

Community activist Yee Poh Ping said water rose at around 3pm at the traffic light near the junction with Jalan 1/40.

Photos shared by Yee with StarMetro showed two out of the three lanes in the area to be inundated.

Several traffic barriers by the roadside had also fallen onto the road, believed to have been caused by strong winds.

The stretch of road is known to be flood-prone.

Parts of it were also flooded during the downpour on Thursday (Aug 22).
