FOR the month of Ramadan, Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd organised various activities for those in need around the Klang Valley.

Children from Pusat Jagaan Rumah Kesayangan in Petaling Jaya, for instance, were taken on a shopping trip in preparation for Hari Raya Aidilfitri and treated to a buka puasa meal.

Present were Air Selangor customer billing services head Azida Halidin and corporate communication head Elina Baseri.

Air Selangor also distributed bubur lambuk to orphanages, B40 families and the local community at Masjid Jamek Ar-Rahimah in Kuala Kubu Baru and Masjid Makmuriah in Sungai Besar, Sabak Bernam.

Under its Sesama Mara initiative, the water utility company distributed 100 boxes of essential food items to B40 families in Flat Seri Kenari, Kajang.

To date, 5,175 Box of Hope packages have been distributed to B40 families around Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya since the programme was introduced in June 2020.

The public can contribute towards this effort through purchases at five Village Grocer outlets – in Tamarind Square (Cyberjaya), MyTown Shopping Centre (Cheras), 1 Mont Kiara (Kuala Lumpur), Central i-City (Shah Alam) and Melawati Mall (Ampang).

Alternatively, contributions can be made via www.airselangor.com/boxofhope
