Gleneagles Hospital Kuala Lumpur announced the news of the hospital being recognised by Newsweek as one of the World’s Best Hospitals in 2024.

“We are incredibly honoured to receive this recognition from Newsweek,” said Gleneagles Hospital Kuala Lumpur chief executive officer Hoo Ling Lee.

“This achievement reflects the hard work and dedication of our entire team, from the doctors and nurses to the support staff who go above and beyond to provide exceptional care to our patients.

“This accolade solidifies the hospital’s status as a world-class healthcare provider, setting new standards for excellence in the global healthcare landscape,” she said.

Apart from that, the hospital also secured its position among the Top 250 World’s Best Hospitals.

This milestone marks the first time that Malaysian hospitals have secured a spot on the global stage of the Top 250 World’s Best Hospitals.

The global ranking includes Mayo Clinic-Rochester, Cleveland Clinic and Singapore General Hospital.

Striving for global healthcare excellence, the 2024 rankings benchmarked hospitals worldwide in clinical excellence and innovation through a meticulous online survey with medical experts.

The analysis was further enriched by incorporating post-hospitalisation patient surveys and hospital quality metrics for a comprehensive evaluation.

Hoo said being in the Top 250 World’s Best Hospitals highlighted Gleneagles Hospital Kuala Lumpur’s pivotal role in elevating Malaysia’s healthcare standards.

The hospital is part of IHH Healthcare Malaysia, one of the largest private healthcare providers in Malaysia.
