Value-based Hospital of the Year in Asia Pacific

Being a patient-centric healthcare institution and leader in value-based integrated healthcare, Gleneagles Hospital Kuala Lumpur continues to advocate patient empowerment – one of the key themes within the global health and social care strategies of the World Health Organisation (WHO).

A great source of pride is the data received for the hospital’s value driven outcome (VDO) initiatives indicating patients in the hospital received the best clinical outcomes in the areas of colonoscopy and percutaneous coronary intervention – having either met or exceeded international benchmarks.

Last year, several new digital tools were introduced to keep clinicians updated with the latest information and knowledge, including computerised physician order entry (CPOE) – which the hospital is among the first batch of hospitals under IHH Healthcare Malaysia to implement.

Gleneagles Hospital Kuala Lumpur also invested a total of RM40mil in capex which included the purchase of new machinery and equipment, upgrading and implementation of IT projects, as well as refurbishment and renovations of wards.

Endocrinology Service Provider of the Year in Asia Pacific

Having clinched this award for two years running, Gleneagles Hospital Kuala Lumpur boasts of being equipped with all the related specialties needed to run a comprehensive endocrine service and is able to provide a full spectrum of consultant care and research.
