Zary Affendi becomes new deputy mayor for Klang Royal City Council

MOHD Zary Affendi Mohd Arif has been appointed as Klang Royal City Council’s (MBDK) deputy mayor.

The appointment was announced in a Facebook post on Tuesday (Feb 13), after Selangor state secretary Datuk Haris Kasim handed over the appointment letter and mandate to Mohd Zary during a simple ceremony at Bangunan Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah earlier in the morning.

Mohd Zary, 45, a father of two, had joined the civil service in 2006.

He had been the Gombak District Council chief assistant district officer (Management).

Previously, he had also served in the Kuala Selangor district office.

Mohd Zary has a Bachelor of Accountancy (Hons) from Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) and a Masters in Land Administration and Development from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM).
