MBPJ releases list of councillors for zones in the city

PETALING Jaya City Council (MBPJ) has released the list of zones and the councillors in charge of them for the 2024-2025 term on its website.

A list last updated on Thursday (Feb 1) showed a total of 24 zones in the city, as well as the names of the councillors for each area and their contact details.

However, three areas namely Zones 15, 21 and 24, were still listed as vacant, with no councillors assigned to them yet.

Zone 15 encompasses Section 2, 3, 4 and 51, while Zone 21 encompasses SS5 and SS6.

Zone 24 encompasses PJS5, PJS6, parts of PJS7, PJS8 and PJS10.

On Jan 18, a total of 21 councillors were sworn in at the council's headquarters.

Sixteen of them were reappointed, while another five were new faces.

The new councillors are Loh Y Lun, Kusaaliny Mahendran and Tan Wei Kiat from DAP, as well as Mohamed Hamka Mohamed Juma and Nurashikin Ali from Amanah.
