New roadside cafe redefining pit stop experience

ENERGY sector giant Shell Malaysia recently launched its Shell Cafe, marking a milestone in the company’s commitment to providing a rewarding experience for their customers.

At the event at APW Bangsar, Shell Mobility Malaysia general manager Seow Lee Ming said that the launch showed the company was adapting to the dynamic preferences of consumers.

“Shell Cafe’s signature coffees come with an extra ‘kaw’ that Malaysians love. The coffees are bursting with fruity and spicy undertones,” said Seow, adding that the company hoped a broader segment of Malaysians would be introduced to the Shell Cafe experience.

Positioned as a preferred destination, the cafe promises an integrated a customer-centric experience, offering not only fresh food and beverages but also a welcoming space for patrons to relax and meet their refuelling needs, she said.

Setting the cafe apart from the rest is its unique coffee blend made from Arabica and Liberica beans.

The rare Liberica beans, comprising less than 2% of global coffee production, promise a distinctive flavour.

Alongside must-have classics like Americano, latte and cappuccino, Shell Cafe has special offerings such as Dirty Latte, Cokespresso and a range of other refreshing ice-blended frappes.

It also serves a wide variety of food from salted egg pastas and gourmet sausages to convenience wraps, including meat-free options.

For pastry lovers seeking a quick bite, Shell Cafe offers a range of crowd favourites like firecracker sausage rolls, chocolate rolls, curry puffs, almond croissants, scones and cakes.

There is an extensive network of over 800 Shell Select stores nationwide, serving as ultimate one-stop centres for those on the go.

“We target opening 80 Shell Cafe sites by the end of the year.

“Looking ahead to 2024, we aim to expand even further,” added Seow.
