CELEBRATING A DECADE OF HEALTHIER, LONGER, BETTER LIVES

A DECADE ago, the conversation around health in Malaysia looked different.

It was reactive; something you dealt with after a diagnosis, a scare or a doctor’s warning.

Today, that conversation has shifted as more Malaysians are choosing to get ahead of their health, making conscious choices to move more, eat better, get screened earlier and invest in healthier lifestyles.

It is a shift driven not by dramatic transformations, but by small, consistent actions repeated over time.

For the past decade, AIA Vitality has been a part of that journey.

To mark a decade of empowering Malaysians to lead healthier lives, AIA Malaysia is celebrating this milestone in a uniquely Malaysian way by bringing people together through music, connection and shared experiences at the AIA Generasi Malaysia 2026 concert this Malaysia Day.

Taking place at Unifi Arena, Bukit Jalil on Sept 20, the concert reflects a broader vision of wellbeing, one that extends beyond physical health to include emotional health, social connection and a sense of belonging.

Featuring a multi-generational line-up of beloved Malaysian artistes, including Michael Wong, Ernie Zakri, 3P, Mimi Fly and K-Town Clan, the concert is designed to unite Malaysians across different backgrounds, ages and communities together through the shared experience of music.

For AIA Malaysia, the event is more than a concert. It is a celebration of a movement that has grown over the last decade – one that has empowered Malaysians to take meaningful steps towards living healthier, longer and better lives.

“We’re not simply celebrating 10 years of AIA Vitality.

“We’re celebrating a decade of progress made together with Malaysians who have embraced healthier habits and taken greater ownership of their wellbeing,” said AIA Malaysia chief marketing officer Chai Tze Siang.

“It is a reminder that meaningful change happens over time, through consistency, encouragement and the collective effort of individuals, families and communities.”

He added that the AIA Generasi Malaysia 2026 Concert brings this belief to life.

“While wellbeing is often associated with physical health, we know it’s also shaped by the connections we build, the communities we belong to and the experiences we share.

“This milestone belongs to everyone who has taken those steps with us.

“The concert is our way of recognising that collective progress and bringing people together to celebrate how far we’ve come.”

A decade building healthier habits

Since its launch, AIA Vitality has grown into one of the nation’s most established health and wellness programmes, now with more than 416,000 members across the country.

But the numbers only tell part of the story.

What they really reflect is a quiet, collective change in behaviour – everyday Malaysians walking a little more, sleeping a little better and getting screened a little earlier.

AIA Vitality was never designed around dramatic transformations.

Its philosophy is simpler: lasting change comes from small, repeatable actions, not sweeping resolutions.

The programme is structured around three principles:

> Know Your Health: Understanding your health through assessments and screenings;

> Improve Your Health: Encouraging healthier habits through everyday lifestyle choices; and

> Enjoy the Rewards: Recognising and rewarding members for consistently making healthier choices.

Notably, the structure appears to be working.

In 2025 alone, members collectively logged 230 billion steps – equivalent to walking around the Earth more than 4,500 times – and earned more than RM18mil in rewards for healthy behaviours.

The programme’s health check data has also shown measurable improvement across key markers among members, including 49% recording improved blood pressure,

61% achieving healthier cholesterol levels, 79% reporting improved glucose levels and 43% seeing improved body mass index (BMI).

“Over the past decade, we’ve witnessed a meaningful shift in how Malaysians think about health and wellbeing,” said Chai.

“More people are recognising that lasting health isn’t built through dramatic changes or short-term resolutions, but through small, consistent actions that become part of everyday life.

“That simple philosophy has guided AIA Vitality from the very beginning and continues to inspire us today.

“As we celebrate this milestone, we’re excited to continue empowering more Malaysians to take control of their health and wellbeing for the next decade and beyond.”

As the nation comes together this Malaysia Day, the AIA Generasi Malaysia 2026 Concert serves as both a celebration of how far Malaysians have come and an invitation to continue the journey ahead.
