Throughout this month, on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights, Sunway Lagoon becomes Malaysia’s most frightful Halloween destination with nine chilling attractions.

For “Nights of Fright 9”, visitors should brace for new attractions this year too such as Animalium, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Legend of Sweeney Todd: Barbershop Killer of Fleet and Murder at Madame Zhu.

The Sudden Impact Entertainment Company chief executive officer Lynton V. Harris said there were 300 “ghost” performers this year.

“We also have an awesome Scarytales theatre show with narration of stories to spook you.”

Sunway Theme Parks’ marketing and park experiences assistant general manager Michelle Soong said they delved into local and Asian tales to “unearth terrifying stories that would plant fear even in the hearts of our bravest visitors.”

Nights of Fright 9 also offers thrill rides and immersive live performances.

StarMetro was invited to a preview and given a seat in the Scarytales theatre haunted house.

As guests settled into their seats, the eerie sounds of rattling windows filled the theatre.
