SP SETIA Foundation, in collaboration with Amari SPICE Penang, shared the joy of Hari Raya Aidilfitri with 52 children from orphanages.

The children from Persatuan Anak Yatim Balik Pulau and Wisma Yatim Pulau Pinang (Perempuan) enjoyed the “Riang Ria Aidilfitri” raya open house held at Amaya Food Gallery in the SP Setia-owned Amari SPICE Penang.

The event was graced by Balik Pulau MP Datuk Muhammad Bakhtiar Wan Chik.

In attendance were Datuk Yuslina Mohd Yunus representing SP Setia’s subsidiary, Perumahan Kinrara Bhd, SP Setia group branding and communications head Adelene Wong and SP Setia Foundation management committee.

This open house event was held as part of SP Setia Foundation’s corporate social responsibility to provide assistance to those who are underprivileged, disabled, poverty-stricken or critically ill.

The event also meets the United Nation’s Sustainability Development Goals.

“It is important for us to remember those who need a helping hand, especially during the festive seasons, and to provide the assistance that we can as well as give back to the underserved communities.

“Our aim is to continue engaging with them and help ease their burdens to the best of our ability,” said Wong.

Amari SPICE Penang general manager Noorazzudin Omar said: “We are a vibrant brand that celebrates moments of joy.

“This Hari Raya we share our love to brighten the world of the underprivileged and put a smile on their faces by celebrating the occasion with them.”

In conjunction with Hari Raya, Perumahan Kinrara Bhd contributed raya packets to the children from the orphanages.

“We are glad for the opportunity to contribute to a charitable cause during this season of giving, and it is always a rewarding experience to be able to put a smile on the children’s faces,” said Yuslina.
