Hotel buffet highlights chefs’ signature dishes

There is variety on InterContinental Kuala Lumpur’s buka puasa buffet.

INTERCONTINENTAL Kuala Lumpur’s latest campaign, The Chefs (Culinary, Hospitality Experience and Food Showcase), is elevating the joy of gathering for a meal.

Besides having 10 of the hotel’s culinary aces create gastronomic experiences, the campaign depicts a wholesome lifestyle choice with well-crafted elements of the season.

Hotel executive chef Hashrul Sehwan and his team have put together a buffet spread of local favourites for the break of fast at Serena Brasserie.

While traditional elements are retained in the preparation of dishes, guests can also find creative dishes like Sup Kawah Pecah Meletop, Ayam Panggang Bumbu Bali Barongan and Sotong Bakar dengan Sambal Mangga (Grilled Jumbo Squid with Young Mango Paste Sauce).

There is also a great selection of international favourites, such as Singapore Chilli Crab, Tong Seng Kambing (Javanese Braised Lamb Shank in Spicy Sweet Soy Sauce) as well as desserts such as Pandan Tiramisu, Bubur Nangka Bali and assorted Malay kuih.

The “Santapan Serantau” buffet also highlights signature dishes from the chefs, including Cili Ijo’ Crust Baked Norwegian King Whole Salmon, Golden Crust Beef Wellington, Kambing Panggang Bumbu Bali, Kari Kepala Ikan Merah Berbendi and Pecal Lele Desa Minang, Chicken Karaage Salad, La Yu and Goma Dressing, Chicken Barbecued Bun and Abalone Siew Mai.

The “Santapan Serantau” experience at Serena Brasserie is available until April 21, from 6.30pm to 10.30pm. It is priced at RM258+ per adult and RM155+ per child.

For something different, Muslim-friendly Chinese restaurant Tao Chinese Cuisine is offering three “Santapan Serantau” Family Sets – priced at RM1,498 nett (for 10 people), RM908 nett (six diners) and RM618nett (for four guests).
