Family seeking seven-year-old’s biological mother

A FAMILY taking care of a seven-year-old girl hopes to locate her biological mother to obtain several documents that will allow her to go to school.

Housewife Suzana Ghazali from Kampung Mogah in Tanjung Malim, Perak, said the girl’s mother, known as Noor Intan Fathirah Ramli, was believed to be holding her birth certificate.

Suzana, 44, wants to enrol the girl in school and said the document was also important for the the adoption procedures.

“We want to give her the best care and these documents will help us do that,” she said after meeting with Muallim Social Welfare Department (JKM) child protection officer Muhammad Fairul Badry and district children protection unit chief Yee Jee Kwong.

“We have even taken to social media to look for the mother,” said Suzana.

She said the girl had been separated from her mother as a baby in 2016 and that the mother was believed to be 28 years old now.

“At that time, I received information about a three-month-old girl in Lorong Chow Kit, Kuala Lumpur, who needed to be looked after. I offered to care for the girl.

“Before we took her in, the child was under the care of a woman named ‘Suma’.

“We left our contact numbers with her should the mother want to look for her daughter.

“We have taken proactive steps and went to several places (in Lorong Chow Kit) to ask for information on the mother but to no avail,” said Suzana.

Those with information or know the whereabouts of Noor Intan Fathirah can call Muallim JKM (05-452 9644) during office hours.
