Remove obstructions along back lanes

Under the law, local authorities can remove obstructions from back lanes.

I WOULD like to thank StarMetro for highlighting issues of public health and safety, especially the report, “Sorry state of alley causing much misery” on Feb 21, which highlighted the bad state of the back lane in Jalan Puteri 4/9, Bandar Puteri Puchong, Selangor. In many Klang Valley neighbourhoods, rows of houses are back to back with narrow back lanes.

Back lanes must be free of obstructions, potholes and empty containers as they would pose a safety issue otherwise.
