SELAYANG Municipal Council (MPS) held a Micro Traders Development Training Programme to ensure traders are up-to-date with the latest technology to improve their businesses.

The programme was organised in collaboration with Platform Selangor (PLATS).

Some 170 council food stall operators, Ramadan traders and micro traders attended the half-day training at Dewan Beringin in Taman Sri Gombak.

Present was MPS deputy president Adi Faizal Ahmad Tarmizi.

In a statement, MPS’ Public Relations and Corporate Department said the programme placed emphasis on going cashless.

“It also offered tips on using online platforms and providing effective content as a catalyst to improve their business operations.

“Ramadan bazaar traders were also reminded to comply with council guidelines, especially in terms of food handling, hygiene and other conditions stated in their permit,” MPS stated.

Besides PLATS, the programme saw briefings by representatives from the local council’s Licensing Department, Solid Waste Management and Health Department, Enforcement and Security Department, the Gombak District Health Office as well as Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry.
