Less food wastage at Thaipusam this year

ALL the awareness campaigns calling for the public to go green during the three-day Thaipusam festival in Penang had an impact as less food wastage was reported this year.

Malaysia Hindu Sangam Bukit Bendera branch chairman A. Tharman said fewer plastic food containers were used by thaneer panthal (refreshment stalls) operators along the route of the two chariot processions.
