CHRISTMAS came early for media practitioners in Penang who received sweet and tasty gifts in conjunction with the upcoming festivity.

Penang Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow’s office presented boxes of pastries as well as Love Penang mugs, to the Star Media Group (SMG) content team.

Chow’s team, led by his office’s communications director Yap Lee Ying, paid a visit to The Star’s Pitt St office in George Town to hand over the appreciation gifts.

SMG journalists Cavina Lim and Imran Hilmy were on hand to welcome the entourage and thank them for the treats and sharing in the festivities.

Yap said the goodies were an appreciation gesture from the Chief Minister for the hard work and perseverance by SMG and its journalists in disseminating information and news to the public over the past year.

“This is the third year in a row that our office has handed over goodies to news agencies in conjunction with the Christmas celebration,” she said.

Yap and her team also took the opportunity to take some pictures with the SMG content team members during the visit. — By IMRAN HILMY
