LOW attendance at the Selangor state assembly led to questions brought up by absent representatives going unanswered by Selangor executive council members.
Selangor state assembly Speaker Ng Suee Lim (pic) said the session on Tuesday (Nov 29) experienced one of the lowest turnouts at the state assembly.
"Only 70% out of the 56 assemblymen showed up," he told reporters during a break at Bangunan Dewan Negeri Selangor, Seksyen 5, Shah Alam.
Ng also did not allow exco members to answer questions brought up by assemblymen who were absent during the meeting, despite others who were present asking for the questions to be answered.
"I do not want to make this a precedent for assemblymen to skip the state assembly.
"If they have a question for the exco, they should be present,'' he said.
Ng also singled out Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali (PN-Bukit Antarabangsa) and Harumaini Omar (Pejuang-Batang Kali) for not attending the session since it started on Nov 23.
