SINCE January, the Johor Baru City Council (MBJB) has spent close to RM100,000 a month to clean up Sungai Tebrau, in efforts to revive the once beautiful river.

MBJB mayor Datuk Noorazam Osman said while the river had potential to be revived, a strong sense of belonging and awareness was also needed among the people.
